Today was a BIG day for Noah. He came out of school absolutely beyond excited, waving a blue laminated piece of paper around, shouting "I've got my pen licence". He has wanted to write in pen for the last year but in both Bolivia and here, you have to earn the right to write in pen. Noah had to learn to write cursive when he joined the school in January, which he never did in Bolivia, and so he has had a lot of catching up to do, as they start to learn to write in cursive in Year 1. But he is thrilled it has only taken him just 3.5 months to catch up, and apparently, only half the class have a pen licence, so he is ecstatic. Today he was one of three who got this award, so he was chuffed to bits.
