Today Seth turned 7. He has been so excited to be turning 7 and we have been having a daily countdown for the last few weeks. Nanny and Popsy came for the weekend too to help him celebrate. The day started very early but poor Seth had to wait until everyone was up and ready. We went to the shop for croissants and once we were done, the present opening started. He was very lucky with his gifts, and got some lovely things, including a BB8 remote control, a swing ball set, a Nerf super soaker amongst other things. I also made him a LEGO picture frame which I cut out and filled with LEGO pieces. Sounds easy but it was a nightmare to do. But it came out looking great so it was worth it.
Once we had finished with the presents and photos, we went to Pizza Express in Abingdon for Seth's pizza making party. Seth chose this type of party and this was his first party he's ever had. To say he was excited is no exaggeration, as you can tell from the photos! Mama Mia was in charge, and there were 18 kids all together, including our three. The kids started by stretching out the dough and then spreading tomato sauce over it. They then put their toppings on top and then munched on some dough balls whilst their pizzas were cooking. After they ate their pizzas they got to sing to Seth. He wanted the same kind of cake as I made Noah for his 9th birthday, so that was nice, as I thought that cake was a bit of a disaster, but obviously not with the kids! They then had their ice cream, by which time the parents had arrived. It was a very busy and chaotic two hours and I was glad when it was all over!! We stayed for lunch and then toddled off back home where Seth proceeded to open his lovely gifts from his friends. He received some great presents and he is a very lucky boy. He watched his video from Santa and posed in front of his window message. Seth requested balloons and window writing, thank goodness he isn't too big for all of that yet because I'm not ready to stop! For the rest of the day, we played with his toys and relaxed.
Happy birthday to one of the most amazing boys there ever was - we are so blessed to have this sweetheart in our lives! x
